Star Wars 6: Revenge of the Jedi is the third movie in the Star Wars saga. It was written by Charlie Kaufman and directed by Vincent Gallo, however due to creative differences, Gallo had to drop out on the third day of shooting. He was not replaced, but retains credit due to contractual concerns. The movie is notable for its violence, as the Jedi-Bendu Luuke Skywalker sets out to get "revenge" on many Star Wars characters, many of whom have wronged Luuke in no way.

During production of the film, it was referred to in all scripts and documents as "Return of the Jedi". This deception was meant to thwart counterfeit merchandisers.
