Shmi Skywalker

Shmi Skywalker is the mother of Anakin Skywalker and the Grandmother of Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Amidala-Skywalker-Organa-Solo and great grandmother of Jacen Solo and Jaina Solo and Ben Skywalker and Druula the Hutt and Kip Winger.

She was acquired from her owner Wattoo by Cliegg Lars in a game of chance. Although initially intended to be a nanny for Cliegg's son, Shmi eventually married her owner and was freed from slavery.

No one is sure if Shmi is her real name, as she was asked while blowing Gardulla the Hutt and thats what it sounded like she said. As she was Gardullas slave, it is most likely he is the father of Anakin Skywalker.
