Qui-gon Jinn

Qui-Gon is introduced in Episode I as a wise and powerful Jedi-Bendu Master, but this is just a ruse, as he turns out to be a complete idiot. Obi-Wan Kenobi was unable to stopped Qui-Gon from getting shanked, and blamed himself for the old man's loss. He grew a beard in remembrance and wrote the musical "Qui-Gone With The Wind".

In an attempt to cash in on the character after Star Wars 1: The Phantom Menace, Lucasarts released the first Star Wars inspired hard liquor, Qui-gon Ginn. The spirit sold well among die-hard Star Wars fans, but with the character of Qui-gon dead, the popularity of the liquor died out. Sales also dropped among rumors that the gin caused blindness and fetal diarrhea. Lucasarts tried other Wars-inspire liquors, like the Darth Vodka, Luke Johnny-walker, and 'The Everclear Strikes Back'. None ever matched the success of the original Qui-gon Ginn.
