Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was a video game created by the video game company Squaresoft. It was created in the year 1999 as a semi sequel to the game X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter.

The game told the story of the first Jedi who was known as The Exile. The main character was a farmboy, living in the desert who dreamed of nothing more than being an ace pilot. He met a wise cracking pirate and his animalistic sidekick and flew with him on many adventures. They rescued a princess whose kingdom was later attacked. After finding out the bad guy's main henchman was related to one of the main characters, they fought and then he redeemed himself. When it looked like everyone would die attacking the giant ship, the pirate saved the day.

[edit] Characters

The Exile

The Exile is the main male protagonist and a 17-year-old orphaned male Hume street urchin who lost his parents in a plague when he was 12 years old[7] His only brother, Reks, died two years prior to the start of the game, during the Archadian Invasion of Dalmasca. He makes a living as Migelo's assistant, running various errands for him, while at the same time pickpocketing from Archadian soldiers while claiming to take back what is Dalmasca's.[8] He is a cheerful and energetic boy, and among his friends he is considered their leader.[original research?] The Exile dreams of someday becoming a sky pirate in command of his own airship.[9] He trains to meet this goal by killing dire rats in the sewers of Rabanastre on a daily basis, for which Dalan gave him the nickname "Exile Ratsbane".[10]

Kriea

Kreia is a 19-year-old Hume princess and main female protagonist of the game, fighting to liberate her kingdom, Dalmasca, from the Archadian Empire. The only living child of King Raminas and the sole heir to the throne,[12] she married Rasler Heios Nabradia shortly before Archadia's invasion of Dalmasca. Her husband died in the battle to protect Nalbina Fortress directly following their marriage.
