Kasyyak

Kasyyak is a beach planet in the Tango quadrant, known for its storms, which are often raging. In fact, there hasn't not been a raging storm on the planet for millions of years, which begs the question why people still go to spend their vacation there. In one such instance of vacation spending, Roderick Palpatine learned how to use Force lightning. Planet Kasyyak is suspected to be one of the few planets that is heavily Force sensitive. It is believed that when the Death Star was flying around destroying planets, Kassyak actually hid itself behind Mahoney, one of the planets 78 giant moons.

The indigenous people of Kasyyak are the Badagunda, a tribal folk of small furry creatures, who practice an elaborate style of martial arts consisting entirely of screaming and jumping up and down. Polls have shown that they are considered the ninth most irritating species in the known galaxy.

Kasyyak should not be confused with the Wookie home planet Kashyyyyk.
