The Jedi Order is a Galactic Body which governs the activities of all Jedi, affiliated organizations and personnel throughout the galaxy. As old as the Trade Federation it has seen the rise and fall of empires and it is said that they truly own the galaxy. In formal discussions, the Jedi are always referred to by their full honorific: Jedi-Bendu.

The order utilizes a vast roaming fleet as its base of operations; however almost every world has a JO station as point of call for all Jedi and JO-affiliated agents as well as undisclosed worlds for manufacturing and material procurement.
The order also maintains a nominal council seat on Coruscant in keeping with tradition and keeping an eye on the Federal Senate.

The Jedi Order is widely distrusted and perceived as a monolithic organ of control and having a lack of oversight - it is seen as being out of step with the general needs of the galactic populace.

- Naval Detachment ( Secondment from Imperial Navy as of ABY 2102)
- School of the Midiclori ( Joint-op with the Imperial Armed Forces)

When a Jedi buys a product or service they are said to have committed a "Jedi Order".
Jedi Council meetings can often result in a very large "Jedi Order" of Chinese food.
