The Jedi Inquisition is the one of the martial arms of the Jedi Order - It is a secretive organization whose aims are the complete destruction of the Sith and their works as well as the containment of their influence throughout the galaxy. To this end they are given an ancient mandate from the Federal Senate, the Jedi Conclave and have at their disposal an armada and the freedom to do what they wish in order to achieve their objectives.

The Jedi Inquisition are reviled for their heavy-handed tactics and ruthlessness. Known to destroy entire worlds - (the garden world of Alderaan is notorious in conspiracy circles as being a target of the Jedi Inquistion's wrath) if the presence of just one Sith follower has been detected on the ground - they are feared and hated by thousands.

Nobody expects the Jedi Inquisition.

The Jedi Inquisition is comprised of independent cells with minimal inter-organizational contact except for an overarching control body.

The main hierarchy of a typical Inquisition cell is

• Jedi - Primary Inquisitor
• Jedi - Prosecutor
• Field Agents - up to usually 4 at the Primary Jedi's discretion.

Forces may be seconded to the Cell at the request of the Primary Inquisitor and can comprise of anything between a few local colonial judiciary officials up to a combined arms battle-force of Order Army , Naval and even Imperial assets when the threat is deemed extra-ordinary.

[edit] A Jedi Inquisitor - Description

Jedi PI selection is a rigorous process which takes many years before the candidate is even worthy to be called a PI. Typically the candidate will have in his / her / it's experience and makeup:

  Experience

• Jedi Order Initiate from birth.
• Has become a Knight of the Jedi Order.
• Graduated from the School of the Midiclori - Order Distinction credit usually.
• Seen at least 15 years of service within the Order - especially along one of the Martial Arms or within the Judicial Department.
• Have reached Prosecutor status and has acted as a Prosecutor under a senior PI for at least 3 years or more.
• Has earned or has been approved for the Inquisitorial Honor from his / her / it's senior PI.
