Han shot fourth
From Ewokpedia
The Special Edition of Star Wars 4: A New Hope used CGI to change a scene where Greedo fires his blaster three times at Han Solo before Han fires back and kills him. In the Special Edition, Greedo only fires once.
[edit] Controversy
Many were disatisfied with this change, with many angry fans crying foul that "Han shot fourth!" To these fans the removal of two blaster shots changed a key facet of the Han Solo mystique. In the original cut of the film Han Solo emerged from his encounter as a reluctant hero. His pacifist nature caused him to dodge Greedo's shots rather than return fire. It was only after a third shot that he realized he must defend himself.
In the Special Edition however, these fans argue that Han Solo is portrayed as a cold blooded murderer, willing to resort to violence after what could have easily been interpreted as a warning shot.
