Death Star

The Death Star was built in the Maw installation, but never completed. Following the testing of the Death Star's weapon, the space station was left incomplete at the installation. It would remain there for several years, long outliving both the Death Star II and the Death Star III which was destroyed in 4 ABY at the Battle of Endor.
The Death Star was built off of plans stolen from the Separatists during the events of Star Wars 3: Return of the Sith. Unlike later Death Stars, The Death Star had no hull, instead it was made up of a Mandalorian Iron skeleton, with only a reactor core and planet killing superlaser. Because of this design feature, the Death Star was defenseless to attack, but featured a far more powerful superlaser.
