Darksaber

A superweapon in the grand tradition of the Master Lasersword. The Darksabre was built by Jabba the Hutt to give him a weapon capable of defeating Luke Skywalker in battle. Constructed from Kaoliandian ore, the dark sabre produced a blade capable of cutting through a Jedi's lightsabre blade. Unfortunately for Jabba, the Darksabre's blade ultimately cut through the Darksabre itself, killing its weilder Jatt Darkstalker.

• Darksaber is also widely regarded as one of the best books in the Expanded Universe and won the prestigious Lucas Crest in 1998.
• George Lucas has stated on numerous occasions that he considers the Darksaber novel to be the spiritual successor to the sixth and final Star Wars movie, Revenge of the Jedi, ultimately bringing closure to the entire Star Wars film saga.
• Since release this novel has sold more than 3,000,000 copies, more than any novel, film novelization or video game script based off the Star Wars universe.
